Oline is the daughter of Svend and Betsey Svendson
Olaf Alfred Olafson [Hult-Holt] and Olena-Oline Swenson.
Olaf came to America in May, 1888 from Ostmark, Sweden, near a small hamlet named Hult, where he may have lived. He changed his last name from Olafson or Olesson, to Hult.
School teachers Anglicized his children’s name to Holt. He had been a lumberman and hunted in Lapland. When he first came to America he worked in St. Paul for James J. Hill driving street cars pulled by donkeys. From there he went to the Belgrade and Brooten area because he had a distant relative there, Sven Anderson. Anderson’s granddaughter, Stina, married Oscar Holt. In the Brooten area, Olaf worked at farming and married Oline Swenson. (copied information from Holt Reunion book July 7, 2007. by (?)
